My healthy diet

I am sticking by my new week resolution.. eating healthy.. tonight, my dinner is porkrib-carrot-corn soup with boiled lady's fingers. Really healthy. Just don't mention about my rojak kucai breakfast and nasi lemak lunch.

Cold Storage opens in Kuching

Cold Storage is open in Kuching!! Yeah .. another supermarket. It opened in a `neighbourhood small mall'!!! hahaha.. ya .. the mall is not that big. Anyway, when I told my boyfriend lets go to Cold Storage when it opened, his standard answer to me was "We'll see". I don't care. It opened yesterday. Last night, I dragged him there. Quite a bit of variety there but then there were so many people there. 人山人海。。the queues to pay were all so long.

We left after a while empty handed. But I am sure that we are gonna go back there again! I was very hungry. We went for dinner at the Banquet (三川）。 The wasabi prawn was yummy!!! I ate until I was very full. At least, I didn't come home all empty last night!!!

Watched Kungfu Panda last weekend and it was "AWESOME-NESS". If you have not watched it and you are in need of a good laugh, maybe because of higher fuel prices, it is a good bet. Basically laughed my pants off, well nearly. ;) Anyway in tribute to the show.....


























Amazing what a little bit of red yarn can do. Here is to bamboo eating martial arts.... Gotta watch it again perhaps on DVD :D Psst..... What does WWF stand for? (A bit of an inside joke :D) Anyway save the Pandas.

Retirement

Over this past year or two, I see a lot of my colleagues retired. Today, another colleague retired after more than 30 years in the civil service. Bit sad to see him leave, but his is compulsory retirement at the age of 56. I got out my hook and yarn last night and made him a golden pig. :P

My new shawl

My cousin was getting married, and I thought I will knit myself a new shawl to go with my dress. So I got out my furry white yarn, my 10mm knitting needles, casted on 30sts and garter stitched.


I knitted and knitted all the free hours I had for a few days.. and finally... I got myself a new shawl...

Change of lifestyle

After the fuel price hike, we should spend more time at home... So, this is what we have been doing...

Its August already??

Me, my boyfriend and his colleagues were having drinks right opposite a petrol station tonight. All the while, there was this long queue to go into the petrol station. It looked like there was a rush for the petrol after the PM's sudden announcement of petrol prices going up overnight. I thought the minister said the petrol prices were only going to go up in August 2 days ago. Gosh... I must have missed a couple of months.. I thought its only June.
