Shawl

I am trying to make another shawl. This time, I am using the fine crochet yarn. I was buying some yarn and I saw the shopowner making a shawl. It looked so pretty I decided I want to make one. I picked this pattern..

Then, I picked this two balls of yarn. Hopefully they are enough for my shawl. I somehow suspect that I am gonna need another ball of the purple yarn.

I also bought another smaller hook (1.5mm in size). It looked so small as compared to my 5mm hook!

I made a few of the flowers already. It looked like this..

Its gonna take me a while to finish the whole shawl. I think I have to make at least 120 of this flower to make up a shawl. I can't wait to finish the shawl.

My new shawl

My cousin was getting married, and I thought I will knit myself a new shawl to go with my dress. So I got out my furry white yarn, my 10mm knitting needles, casted on 30sts and garter stitched.

I knitted and knitted all the free hours I had for a few days.. and finally... I got myself a new shawl...

Looks good on, right?

Seems like many people around me knit

My brother's friend also knits!!! Of course, she's a girl.

I took up knitting when I saw a knitting booklet, Jean Greenhowe's Knitted Clowns - The Red Nose Gang!. I bought it and a friend taught me how to knit. The clowns are just so cute. I just never finish knitting a single clown.

Then, I bought the Jean Greenhowe's Christmas Special. This time, I did manage to finish knitting something. Together with my mom, we managed to knit the Christmas Crib set. What we knitted did turn up to look like what its supposed to look like.
